NCPLA is excited to partner with the Association Executives of North Carolina (AENC) for this timely and interactive session featuring David Lusk, Founder & CEO of Key Advocacy.
As federal gridlock in Washington continues to stall progress across many industries, the center of policy influence has increasingly shifted to the states. For organizations across North Carolina, this presents both a challenge and an opportunity to rethink how they engage stakeholders in advocacy.
David brings more than two decades of policy experience to the conversation, developing customized grassroots and grasstops advocacy programs for associations, nonprofits, and corporations across the country. His clients include organizations such as Microsoft, the American Farm Bureau Federation, the American Library Association, the American Medical Association, and The Nature Conservancy.
Turn Advocacy Into an Asset explores how organizations can move beyond traditional grassroots efforts by activating grasstops leaders, key contacts, and ambassadors to build trusted relationships with policymakers and strengthen their influence where it matters most.
This two-part session will examine how leading organizations are positioning advocacy as a strategic asset—and how effective advocacy can extend beyond the legislative arena to strengthen engagement, retention, relationships, and overall organizational impact.
