State Seal Rug and Bracket

Beginning this week, we will begin taking orders for the State Seal rug and brackets. We order these rugs each biennium and anyone may get one; you do not have to be a member of the General Assembly or staff.  

Please bring your check(s) to the Legislative Services Office, Room 2129 LB.  We expect to close the order Friday, March 7. 

State Seal Rugs:

The rugs are ordered through Bell’s Carpet in Raleigh, and they are made by Milliken and Company.  They measure approximately 5’4” x 7’8” and are 100% polyester.  The price for the rug is $470.00 and checks should be made payable to “Bell’s Carpet”.  The carpets will be delivered to the NC General Assembly.

State Seal Brackets:

The wooden rug hanging brackets are ordered through the Department of Administration. The price for the bracket is $56.00 and checks should be made payable to “NC General Assembly”

An example of the rug is hanging in the Legislative Services Office if you would like to see one up close!  Once I have made the order, it will take approximately 6-8 weeks to come in.
