Vice President of Government Relations & Public Policy

Association for Home & Hospice Care of North Carolina (AHHC)

The Association for Home & Hospice Care of North Carolina (AHHC), a leading health care association in North Carolina and now entering its 55th Anniversary year, is seeking a full-time, experienced Vice President of Government Relations & Public Policy to lead advocacy efforts on behalf of nearly 700 agency members representing providers of Medicare/Medicaid home health, Medicare/Medicaid hospice, palliative care, Medicaid home care, VA, and private-pay services.

The Vice President will serve as the lead advocate for AHHC and the South Carolina Home Care & Hospice Association (SCHCHA), which AHHC manages as a separate association. The VP will represent AHHC before the North Carolina General Assembly, commissions, boards, policymakers, and other key stakeholders, promoting and advocating for the home health, home care, hospice, and palliative care industries. For SCHCHA, the VP will work closely with the association's contract lobbying team in Columbia.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced advocate who is comfortable with public speaking and working with legislators, policymakers, association leaders, members, and industry stakeholders. The candidate should be highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines, adaptable, and committed to advancing the interests of the home health, home care, hospice, and palliative care communities.

Position Details

This is a full-time, hybrid position offering a competitive salary and an outstanding and diverse benefits package.

The Vice President will report directly to the Chief Regulatory & Public Policy Officer and work closely with the President & CEO and other AHHC staff as warranted.
